Founded in 1830 (Bunsei 13).

It is said that when you drink Tenju’s sake, you’ll breathe a sigh of relief.
With our gratitude to our customers in mind, we continue to brew our relaxing sake. We’ve been established at the foot of Tohoku’s magnificent Mt. Chokai for over 180 years. We fixate on brewing our sake with local production methods, take masterful advantage of our climate and clear water, and together with the historical Tenju Brewer’s Rice Research Association, cultivate the rice we use until we are satisfied with its quality. But above all else, we protect and preserve the traditional skills of our brewers, as well as the history of our sake brand.

<Production Process>
Aiming to brew the best sake in our home town, we set up the “Tenju Brewer’s Rice Research Association”, which was the first group in Akita Prefecture to ever erect a contract with local farmers. We go as far as we can to obsess over the quality of our sake—that’s our process.
