History

Established in 1870 (Meiji 3).
We are in the business of making miso and soy sauce in the Ishiwaki Harbor area on the southern coast of Akita, which during the Edo period, was a flourishing port that benefited from the Kitamaebune, a commercial cargo ship that operated back then.

We started out with only miso and soy sauce, but we currently also make tsuyu sauces, tare sauces, salad dressings, pickles, original products that are distributed to businesses, and other various products.

<Production Process>
Sticking to our methods from long ago, we make products that are matured in wooden barrels – which is hard to come by these days – and also many other products that use local ingredients.
